Gavin Buck

Gavin is a retired Police Officer here in the UK and has been involved with dogs for over 30 years and is a Master Dog Trainer with the Guild of Professional Dog Trainers. 

He has worked numerous dogs within the Armed Forces, and the Police as an Association of Police Officers handler (ACPO) and has been involved in giving seminars on different types of training systems to train all breeds of dogs. Gavin is still actively involved with training and educating Police Handlers and Trainers.  

Gavin competes in the sport of IGP which was previously called IPO. Gavin has represented Great Britain 5 times at world championships and was the first person in the UK to enter and qualify at an international trial with his female Rottweiler Anja who came joint 9^th at the Rottweil Grand-Pre in 2013.  

He was also the first handler from the UK to qualify at the FCI All Breeds in Germany 2017 with his Rottweiler Drago.  He has been UK National Champion with his dog Drago twice.  Once at the Rottweiler Nationals gaining best tracking and obedience and second in the protection phase and he did it again at the GB All Breeds Nationals gaining best tracking, obedience and protection which has never been done before with a Rottweiler in the UK. 

He has helped Police Handlers, Security Handlers and private customers to achieve their goals and have carried out helper work at Police dog and security trials, he also ran his own IGP Club for many years. Gavin has and still is attending world renowned trainers across Europe to gather as much knowledge as possible and is very open to learning new ways of training. Gavin is looking forward to learning new ideas and systems with his new dogs who are a Rottweiler called Reggie and his Malinois Eddie.

Karen

Karen is a Qualified Dog Groomer and has previously worked in boarding kennels for some years. She has also been active in the sport of IGP and worked a Rottweiler called Pascha who is now nearly 14 years old. Karen has extensive knowledge of animal behaviour and is passionate about the welfare of Dogs. Karen takes care of the husbandry within Pegasus K9 and helps with some of the Residential Training. 

Finding the right trainers for you and your canine can sometimes be hard but here at Pegasusk9 we have taken the stress out of that. We feel passionate not only about our clients dogs but also about what the clients wants.
